How to add a Budget Marker

Create a Budget Marker for time fields

Add a time custom field

1. Install Epic Sum Up
2. Navigate to the "Custom fields" section in the "Issues" settings
3. Add a new "(Epic Sum Up) Time" custom field
4. Assign the new field to the necessary screens

Assign the time custom field to be a budget

1. Navigate to the "Manage apps" section in the Administration
2. Click on "Configuration" in the navigation on the left
3. Choose the "Summary Panel" option within the settings page
4. Look for either "Time" or any custom time field
5. Click on the dropdown next to "Budget"
6. Choose the time custom field, that was recently created

Give the time custom field a value

1. Navigate to an issue you want to use the budget at
2. Click on the time progress bar you have assigned the budget to
3. Click on any value in the column of the budget
4. Type in a new value
5. Click on the check button to save the input

Create a Budget Marker for number fields (Story Points)

Add a number custom field

1. Install Epic Sum Up
2. Navigate to the "Custom fields" section in the "Issues" settings
3. Add a new "Number Field" custom field
4. Assign the new field to the necessary screens

Assign the number custom field to be a budget

1. Navigate to the "Manage apps" section in the Administration
2. Click on "Configuration" in the navigation on the left
3. Choose the "Summary Panel" option within the settings page
4. Look for either "Story Points" or any custom numeric field
5. Click on the dropdown next to "Budget"
6. Choose the number custom field, that was recently created

Give the number custom field a value

1. Navigate to an issue you want to use the budget at
2. Click on the number progress bar you have assigned the budget to
3. Click on any value in the column of the budget
4. Type in a new value
5. Click on the check button to save the input
